Janine Davies, Chair of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, will be taking a leave of absence from the Chamber while she pursues the contest for the Conservative party nomination for the newly formed Port Moody-Coquitlam riding in the federal election.

“At this time, I feel it appropriate to step back from my position as Chair of the Board of Directors to ensure that there is no perceived conflict between my role as Chair and my pursuit of the Conservative Party nomination in Port Moody-Coquitlam. I continue to be a proud member of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce and continue to support the local business community. I am confident that this decision will best serve the interests of the Chamber and its members at this time. ” – Janine Davies, Westminster Savings Credit Union

The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce will operate normally under the direction of the Board of Directors and Executive Director Michael Hind.

“The Chamber congratulates Janine on her decision and thanks her both for her dedication during her time on the Board and for putting the interests of the Chamber first in choosing to take this leave.” - Michael Hind, Executive Director
