The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce invites members to join us for a roundtable with BC Finance Critic Peter Milobar, MLA for Kamloops Centre, Conservative Party of BC. On the heels of the 2025 BC Budget, let's discuss our economic future and the current state of business in the Tri-Cities.

Peter Milobar, MLA for Kamloops Centre and Finance Critic

Peter Milobar has deep roots in the Kamloops community, where he lives with his wife Lianne and their three grown children. Together, they operate a local small business, reflecting their commitment to the local economy and community engagement. Peter's longstanding connection to Kamloops is matched by his passion for public service and his active involvement in community life.

Peter Milobar's career in politics and public service spans over two decades, marked by significant roles and achievements. Elected MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson in 2017, 2020, and 2024, he is now serving as Shadow Minister for Finance with a strong focus on fiscal responsibility and economic development. His previous roles include serving as Opposition House Leader and Shadow Minister for Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation, Environment and Climate Change. 

Before his provincial role, Peter was the Mayor of Kamloops for three terms, where he demonstrated leadership and commitment to local governance. He also served as chair of the Thompson Regional Hospital District for five terms and as a director for the Thompson-Nicola Regional District since 2005. His extensive experience extends to work with the BC Transit Board of Directors, PRIMECorp, and the Local Government Contract Management Committee.
