Last year my wife Kelly ran the Daffodil Dash Tri Cities to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. She ran in support of the many people in her family who lost their battles with cancer. Brain cancer took both her maternal grandmother and her uncle. Breast cancer took her paternal grandmother. Her mother also had breast cancer but has thankfully won her battle. Unfortunately Kelly will be unable to run this year because she was diagnosed with cancer for a third time; this time, with breast cancer. She had a mastectomy late last year. Her chemotherapy treatments will be delayed slightly to March 22nd pending the c-section delivery of our second child. Last year, Kelly’s goal was to raise $1,722 for cancer research. She ended up raising $2,500 for cancer research and became the top individual fundraiser for the event. This year, I will be running for Kelly. This year, my goal is to double the amount that Kelly was able to raise for cancer research. Sincerely, Johann Contreras, Contreras Law
