Mayors' BBQ Returns This September 

The Tri-Cities Chamber's annual Mayors' BBQ event, co-presented by Aultrust Financial Ltd. and Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, returns this September!

Join us at Riverside Community Church on Wednesday, September 7 for an evening of tasty barbeque and networking as we welcome our Mayors from the cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody, as well as the Villages of Anmore and Belcarra.

This is your opportunity to connect with our local leaders in person, ask questions, and voice your business concerns. Don't delay — this event always sells out! Avoid disappointment by registering early. 

 Mayor Stewart        

• Lifelong resident of Coquitlam
• Background in building technology and housing
• Member of Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce since 1989
• Elected to City Council in 2005 and elected Mayor in 2008, winning re-election in 2011, 2014 and 2018.
• Currently serving as the Chair of Metro Vancouver’s Liquid Waste Committee
• Currently serves on the BC Urban Mayors’ Caucus, on the Board of Directors of Pathways Serious Mental Illness Society, and the Board of Tri-Cities Friends of Refugees.
• Avid cyclist, and passionate about mental health

Mayor West

• Lifelong resident of Port Coquitlam
• First elected to Council in 2008, re-elected in 2011 and 2014 and elected as Mayor in 2018
• Chair of the Mayor's Committee 
• Member of the Metro Vancouver Board, Finance and Intergovernment Committee, Regional Economic Prosperity Management Board and Regional Planning Committee, Invest Vancouver Management Board.
• Member of the Mayors’ Council and Mayor’s Council on Regional Transportation

Mayor Vagramov

• Grew up in Port Moody and has lived in various neighborhoods for the past 21 years
• Background in digital technology and media 
• Elected to Council in 2014 and elected as Mayor in 2018
• Chaired or vice-chaired a broad range of civic committees, including the Community Planning Advisory Committee, the Environmental Protection Committee, the Youth Focus Committee, the Seniors' Focus Committee, the Master Transportation Plan Steering Committee, and the Transportation Committee

Mayor McEwen      

• Resident of Anmore for over 15 years
• Elected to council in 2008, elected as Mayor in 2014 and re-elected as Mayor in 2018
• During his tenure on Council, Mayor McEwen has chaired various committees
• Member of TransLink Mayors’ Council on Regional Transportation
• Member of Port of Vancouver Mayors’ Committee
• Chair of the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Committee
• Member of the Metro Vancouver Board, Finance, Liquid Waste, Mayors’ and Regional Planning Committees

Mayor Ross

• Lived in Belcarra since 1989
• Undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Special Education and Secondary English Western Washington
• University and Master of Arts Special Education Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia and Chartered Professional in Human Resources for British Columbia and Yukon
• Elected to Belcarra Council in 1990 and served continuously as a Councillor until 2018 and elected Mayor in a by- election in January 23,2021
• Member of the Metro Vancouver Board, Mayors’ Committee, Regional Parks Committee, Water Committee
• Member of TransLink Mayors’ Council on Regional Transportation and the New Mobility Committee
