Sing a Song of Washday Diane Rogers, Thursday May 4th, 7pm at Poirier Library Diane Rogers is a founding member of the Women's History Network of BC and will present an illustrated talk to introduce the changing ideas and attitudes about housewives and ever more "modern" home appliances of the 1900's onwards. Culture, Economics, Technology, and Times of Conflict as Agents of Change for Women from 1900-1920 E. Brenda Flynn, Wednesday May 10th, 7pm at Poirier Library E. Brenda Flynn is a member of the BC Historical Nurses Society and will be presenting on the changing role of women as seen through the perspective of a nurse.
