Join Dr. Fast for a series of fun and illuminating journeys through global art history – enjoy a beverage, sit back and learn in this relaxed, entertaining format. Come for one class or all five! 

 April 29 | Japanese Printmaking This lecture will introduce the fascinating history of printing and printmaking in Japan (spoiler: if you think you know what the world’s oldest printed book is, you’re in for a surprise!). You’ll discover the technical marvel of multi-colour woodblock printing, the world of ukiyo (“the floating world”), and how Japanese prints have influenced artists around the world.
