Daniel Henderson graduated in 1988 from the University of Victoria Law School. While at university he was president of the Debating Society and was part of the Law School Moot team. After completing a summer clerkship at an international law firm and articles at a national law firm, Mr. Henderson was called to the bar of British Columbia in May of 1989. 

Mr. Henderson then commenced work as a provincial Crown Counsel for a five-year tenure. In 1994, Mr. Henderson went into private practice, although he continued to prosecute complex and difficult criminal cases for the Provincial Crown. He has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, the Federal Court, various administrative tribunals and he has sought leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.
