FEATURING SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER: NASREEN PEJVACK
Nasreen is an esteemed author whose historical novel “Amity” was published by Inanna Publications in 2015, and was a finalist for BC’s 2016 Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize. Following Amity’s success, in 2018 she published a book of short tales inspired by her experiences of life in Canada, “Paradise of the Downcasts," as well as a book of poetry, “Waiting." Nasreen was a judge for BC’s 2018 Fiction Prize; and is Past President of Royal City Literary Arts Society, 2016-2018.
Prior to becoming a writer, Nasreen worked as a Programmer and Systems Analyst in Ottawa and California during the 1990s tech boom. Moving out of the IT field and returning to Canada, she spent 12 years in BC working as a counselor and educator, while also obtaining her degree in Psychology.
