With ancestral roots in the Lheidli T’enneh, Cree and Secwépemc Nations, Kym Gouchie’s traditional hand drum, acoustic guitar, full-bodied voice and poignant lyrics, woven together with authentic storytelling between songs, make her a powerful force. Her eloquent performances are known for their lasting impact on audiences of all ages, instilling messages of inspiration and hope. Kym will be accompanied by Naomi Kavka and Ian Olmstead on vocal harmonies, cello & keys, creating their own unique style of Indigenous folk and roots. Kym has collaborated with each of these artists individually for a decade and this is their debut touring season as a trio. Get ready to have your moccasins blown off! Kym Gouchie is a mutli-disciplined artist, called upon by organizations as a speaker, advisor, artist and performer to offer indigenous insight and act as a healing bridge, connecting hearts and minds across Turtle Island.
