Live 5-2-1-0 Professional Development Session

March 8, 2016 (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (PST)

Description

What is happening in Tri-Cities to help raise healthy happy kids and create a healthy community? Live 5-2-1-0 is a successful North American-wide campaign based on four simple guidelines: Enjoy FIVE or more fruits/veggies every day; Power down - no more than TWO hours of screen time a day; Play Actively - at least ONE hour each day; Choose healthy - ZERO sugar-sweetened drinks. Its success is based on everyone working together to build healthy communities for children where the healthy choice is the easy choice. What are we currently doing that supports LIVE 5-2-1-0 and how can LIVE 5-2-1-0 support what YOU do? Come share and learn what others in the community are doing around this initiative. Anyone interested in the well-being of children should attend. Specifically, this event will be beneficial to early years and school age staff and supervisors, school counsellors, parks and recreation staff and supervisors, PAC members, municipally elected officials.
