The May Day Parade is one of the longest running parades on the Lower Mainland and the Rotary Club of Port Coquitlam is proud to organise this important part of the City's May Day Festival. The Rotary May Day Parade provides local merchants, businesses and non-profit associations the opportunity to demonstrate their support of their community. The 2016 parade was watched by about 12,000 people from Port Coquitlam and many other areas around the Lower Mainland, and this year's parade is shaping up to be the best ever! We anticipate more than 100 entries including floats, marching and pipe bands, local dignitaries and community groups will be on hand to entertain you. The Rotary May Day Parade will be start off at 10:30 am by the Vancouver Police Department Motorcycle Squad (a spectacle not to be missed) and the Grande Parade will get under way at 11.00am. So bring the family to downtown Port Coquitlam on Saturday May 13, 2017 enjoy the Rotary May Day Parade and take in the many attractions at the Community Block Party in Leigh Square after the parade until 5pm. www.portcoquitlam.ca/mayday
