MLA Jennifer Blatherwick to Host 2nd Annual Summer Community BBQ in Coquitlam

Coquitlam, BC — MLA Jennifer Blatherwick invites community members to attend her 2nd Annual

Summer Community BBQ, a free, family-friendly event celebrating connection, community spirit, and

the start of summer.

Taking place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mundy Park (Fieldhouse + Picnic

Shelter), the event will bring together residents of all ages for an afternoon of food, fun, and

entertainment.

Attendees can enjoy a wide variety of activities, including live music, face painting, children’s games, and

a hockey shooting zone hosted by the Coquitlam Express. Complimentary hot dogs, beverages, and other

refreshments will also be provided.

“This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with neighbours and celebrate the vibrant community

we’re so proud of,” said MLA Jennifer Blatherwick. “I look forward to welcoming families from across

Coquitlam for an afternoon of fun and togetherness.”
