The Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to bring back the Morning Schmooze! Join us bright & early on Thursday, November 18 at the Poco Inn & Suites for some morning schmoozin'. This event is hosted in a "speed-networking" style, where you sit with 6 other people and each person is given an opportunity to deliver a 60-second elevator pitch. After 10 minutes a bell rings and you switch tables and start the process again.
Come network with other Chamber members and have a chance to meet your next client, customer or business partner! Make new contacts and expand your network all while enjoying a delicious breakfast buffet. You never know who you will meet at a Schmooze so make sure to arrive ready to network with your best one-minute self-introduction. Don't forget to bring your business cards!
How to Perfect your Elevator Pitch
An elevator pitch is a brief, persuasive speech that you use to spark interest in what your organization does. You can also use it to create interest in a project, idea, or product, or in yourself. A good elevator pitch should last no longer than a short elevator ride of 20 to 30 seconds, hence the name. They should be interesting, memorable, and succinct. They also need to explain what makes you or your organization unique.
*The following safety protocols will be in place at the event:
- In accordance with the current province-wide mask mandate, all attendees must wear their masks in the venue space at all times unless they are seated to actively eat or drink, or getting up the podium to speak.
- Hand sanitizers will be readily available.
- Shared equipment such as microphones will be cleaned and disinfected between uses.
- Please stay home if you don't feel well.
