ABOUT THE SHOW

Join us for an evening of grace, beauty, and technique, as we present two distinct forms of dance in one program.

Jhoely Triana Flamenco performs Arboles (Trees)

Featuring live flamenco music and dance, Arboles (Trees) uses the metaphor of trees to represent how we must honour our roots and gather strength from our past to reach new heights so that we can share our lived experiences with our community and spread the seeds of empathy and compassion. Colombia-born, Vancouver based Flamenco dancer Jhoely Triana is joined by singer Pat Keith and guitarist Peter Mole, both of whom have been performing Flamenco for over 25 years.

Isak Enquist performs Zealous Fervour, choreographed by Eowynn and Isak Enquist

Isak and Eowynn Enquist are two incredible up-and-coming contemporary dancers who have worked with some of the biggest dance companies in BC including Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Radical System Art, and Wei Wei Dance among others. They have collectively choreographed this piece, performed solo by Isak Enquist, which will premiere at Evergreen Cultural Centre in 2023.
