Description

Join the City of Coquitlam and the Hoy/Scott Creek Watershed Society to welcome the salmon home on October 19, 2014. This free family event will be held at the Hoy Creek Fish Hatchery from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

·         Salmon presentations
·         Spawning salmon viewing
·         Children's music with Chris Hamilton
·         Children's costume parade and storytelling with Angela Brown
·         Food Concession
·         Community group displays and activities
·         Prize fishing pond with Kintec
·         Learn to Fish info with the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC
·         Tree planting with the City of Coquitlam's Bad Seed Team
·         Face painting
·         Meet the salmon mascots

The Hoy Creek Fish Hatchery is located in Hoy Creek Park, behind the City Centre Aquatic Complex at the corner of Pinetree and Guildford Way. There is free parking available at Coquitlam City Hall, located at the corner of Guildford and Pinetree Way as well as at Douglas College. It is just a short walk to the event site.
