Presented By: Jaivin Khatri, Community Director, Make Your Mark
Jaivin Khatri has been in business operations for over 17 years. He got his start in the restaurant industry at the age of 18 and in that time, has worked with various companies and organizations where he acquired a great degree of experience in leadership, staff development, customer relations, operations & management, marketing, event planning, community relations & outreach.
An aspect of his career that is truly unique is that he has worked from the ground up and developed himself at each point of his career path. This career progression has allowed him to view operations from many different perspectives, a process that has enabled him to develop problem resolution skills as well as the discovery of a true passion for the development of others, both peer and subordinate.
This enthusiasm of teaching & training started at a very young age when he was facilitating workshops at his local Army Cadet Corp at the age of 15. Jaivin has been teaching and facilitating throughout his entire adult life for almost two decades and recently has had hands on training from International Speaker, Colin Sprake. Seeing people learn, grow and develop is a true passion for Jaivin.
When Jaivin is not leading, working or teaching, you can find him being involved in his local community as he is a big advocate for philanthropy. His time in restaurants has allowed him the rewarding opportunity to reach out to various community organizations and lead teams in raising over $250,000 for 26 different charities. Furthermore, his time as Director of Operations for the charity, 100 Men Who Care Vancouver, has allowed him to lead a team of individuals in raising over $80,000 for eight local charities in need of support.
