Community Volunteer Connections to Host 2026 Volunteer Fair in Port Coquitlam

Free public event connects Tri-Cities residents with local nonprofits on September 26

COQUITLAM, BC; Community Volunteer Connections (CVC) is inviting Tri-Cities residents to its 2026 Volunteer Fair, a free public event connecting people that want to volunteer with public serving organizations and nonprofits that need them.

The fair takes place Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Mabbett Hall at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre. Just a short walk from downtown Port Coquitlam and accessible by transit, bike, and car, with underground parking available off Mary Hill Rd.

Admission is free and open to the public. Attendees will be able to meet local nonprofit organizations, explore volunteer opportunities, and speak directly with organization staff about positions ranging from one-time and short-term commitments to ongoing opportunities. CVC staff will also be on hand to offer guidance for anyone unsure where to start their volunteer search.

The Volunteer Fair gives participating organizations a chance to build awareness of how they serve the Tri-Cities community, how to join their board or committees, and how volunteers can get involved with their organization. So far, 23 local nonprofits, charities, and public serving organizations have confirmed their presence at the Fair.

"The Volunteer Fair is one of the best chances all year for people in our community to sit down with local organizations and find a way to get involved that actually fits their interests and their schedule," said Filio Kondylis, Executive Director of Community Volunteer Connections. "We're looking forward to welcoming residents and nonprofits from across the Tri-Cities back to the Tri-Cities Volunteer Fair this September."
