"You can't really understand another person's experience until you've walked a mile in their shoes." This Walk a Mile event asks the men in our community to literally walk one mile in women's shoes. It's not easy walking in these shoes, but it's fun and it gets the community to talk about a very timely topic...Gender Equality. This year we having a conversation on #womenatwork. Join us along with Global News personality & local resident, Jay Janower, for a great morning! The Soroptimists invite men, women and youth to come out during their lunch hour and walk a mile together and #starttheconversation around ending gender inequalities in the Tri-Cities. Each registrant receives a pair of event socks upon check-in. The walk starts and finishes at Coquitlam Centre – Northeast Plaza off Pinetree Way. Walking in women's shoes is optional and encouraged!
